Hey @rina !!! Ahh it can be such a mission getting the right board hey!! I hope we can help here :

So the board itself, can I ask a couple of things?

    – Does it feel to big/cumbersome or does it feel quite wobbly and off balancing?

    – Where do you feel like you’re at with your surfing? What are you working on currently?

My first impression looking at the board, is that it could be too big, BUT I’m also always of the impression that if a board is on the bigger side of things that’s far better initially than being to small haha. We can modify your movement and position on the board to make that work with a bigger board, whereas sometimes we really need to hit a certain skill thresshold to make a smaller board work properly.

I feel an 8’6 would be perfect, but I wouldn’t say the 9’0 you have there couldn’t work either, maybe we could try and adjust a few things from a technique/approach perspective and see how that helps?

To be honest that board doesn’t look too performancy to me, but I haven’t seen it in action so I’m not 100% certain. What I would say about that board that I typically REALLY like is that it has wide point middle/forwards (not back), it looks like it has some nice width to it, and given what you’re friend said about the performance outline it seems to have a bit of rocker to it – these are the big key 3 things I’m looking for regarding making turning, surfing and cross stepping/noseriding all easier in the early-intermediate stages!

Let me know your thoughts here and happy to chat more!!
