Longboard Surf Trip Recommendation
Posted by Anthony on September 18, 2024 at 11:22 pmHi all! I am planning a trip to Europe to visit my sister in Lisbon. I will have a few extra days after I visit to go and hit a surf spot (timing is first few days of November). I was thinking somewhere on the west coast of Portugal, but can also fly out somewhere around Portugal (maybe Morocco?) Does anyone have any places they recommend around there to surf/rent a longboard + wetsuit? Thanks! Yewww!

Taghazout, Morocco!
The guys at SurfMaroc should be able to look after you
You can also do a day trip up to Immesouane from there
trips to the Atlas Mountains and the edge of the Sahara desert alsoNear Lisbon I’ve surfed the Ericeira area…some fun point breaks and beach breaks
There was a great rental spot in the car park at Praia de Ribeira d’Ilhas-

Hi Tommy,
What is your top 3 favorite longboard destinations? I have put Taghazout in my google map surf list 🙂 I learned to surf in Arugam Bay, Sri Lanka, was such an incredible place, taking tuk-tuks to different spots.

Thank you Mr. Worldwide! Really appreciate the advice and wisdom. I think I am gonna check out the Surf Maroc guys. Seems like a great program, especially for me traveling alone this trip.
