Champions!!!
We’d love to host you in Costa Rica where we are based and we’re also considering Sri Lanka again this September as well as the Philippines in October!

Not sure where you are based, but I went on one in Portugal last year called “the Classy Ride retreat” with an outfit called Conscisea. The longboard coach Felipe was really good and Portugal is beautiful. It was also very affordable as longboard retreats go. The breaks we surfed were very crowded and wetsuits are required, so that is something to keep in mind. I think they only run one or two longboard specific retreats per year.

Hey Paul, how were the waves in Portugal and which site did you go to with Concisea? I found lots of photos of people on their website but not many of the waves. Cheers!

Hi – we were in Peniche and surfed the beach breaks nearby like Baleal. We did the longboard specific retreat which was cool. We stayed for a week and got a few days of pretty fun waves and a couple days of pretty poor conditions. There were a lot of giant surf schools in the area so the lineups were typically crowded. I posted a video of some waves in the community feedback section about 5 months ago that will give you an idea of the waves in peniche. If you search “Portugal” in the community feedback section it should show up.

Which is your home break in Morocco? Looks like it gets pretty crowded there. 😀

Yeh its pretty crazy especially around Taghazout and Imsouane. My homebreak used to be Banana point, but I got a van to avoid the crowds so mostly going south to Sidi Ifni.
