Hey all, after some thoughts on positioning.

I’m popping up, trimming getting my first cross steps in and some times my second but missed the noise 🤦‍♂️. With the beach breaks I’m having to turn on the close out section or doing cut backs (not pretty), I’m really struggling to get back over the fins and when I get close I feel like I’m stalling the board, it’s doesn’t feel natural to be so far back on such a long board?

It could be that my feet are too close together, was one thought? Anyone else struggling with this?

    Hey Heath
    Check out the following series:

    Carve to the Beach
Carve to the Beach Level Up
    Intermediate Longboard Stance

The stalling sensations sounds like you’re moving your back foot back before your front foot when you step back to turn

Thanks Tommy I appreciate you providing some direction! I will certainly watch these vids a few times before my next surf and let you know how I get on. 🤙
