  • Waxless grip for the Board

Not sure if this subject came up. with traveling with my boards I hate applying wax, wasting time prepare and apply and removal, and messy. so which waxless brands have people been using.

I have been trying out one brand: https://gryptalite.com/

location from California where I am from.

Any other brands I should be aware of? what you think of it?

Hey Paul, I’ve personally never heard of this but I’m relatively new to surfing. So looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say.

I got a long board maybe 8mths ago and I have been wondering when I need to remove all the wax as it’s starting to build up a bit.

Also just to clarify do you have to remove the wax before traveling?

I love the idea of this…

I’ve seen some thicker grips but I know that those often cause friction and chaffing
But I remember seeing an almost seethrough version in Saladita once and the guy surfing it swore by it…can’t remember the name of the product though!

Never used it but I really like the idea. Would be great if you could let us know how you like it after you used it a few times!

I’ve used this one and it works for sure. I still use wax and prefer it, but if you want an alternative this is pretty sweet. https://surfcohawaii.com/products/106-longboard-full-deck-wax-mat-kit.html

Something that might be worth looking into: https://www.waal.co

Though cost does get high for a longboard. FYI, never tried it myself (but it is tempting…)
